A unique aspect of in-home child care is that our activities can directly relate to "real life" situations for the kids in care.
Because of our in-home environment, we can use opportunities like carpool and field trips to teach skills that are helpful at home: such as putting on shoes and jackets, noticing the weather and what that means we should wear, planning ahead to get ready and leave on time, following directions, listening and staying close to a trusted adult, and putting on and checking placement and tightness of safety restraints.Â
~Developmentally appropriate safety seats provided for each child
~Weekly field trips to library and parks (weather permitting)
~Transportation to and from Arcadia Elementary, Truman Elementary, and Fox Hills Elementary (as needed)
